Referral: all 4 open water dives

From $450 per person, plus tax

For students who finished the knowledge and pool training elsewhere.

Included: Confined water skills, all the scuba gear you need and a record of the skills you completed
Not included: The open water dives and certification processing

Which one is for me?

All 4 open water dives. You did the academics and the confined water (pool) part with your instructor back home, and you haven’t done any open water dives yet. Over 2 days you do dives 1 to 4 from shore, and you finish as a PADI Open Water Diver.
Final 2 dives. You already did the confined water and your first two open water dives. We start with a skills review, then you do dives 3 and 4 from shore, all in 1 day.
Confined water skills session. You finished the academics but still need the confined water part. You get a record of the skills you completed, so you can do your open water dives here with us or at any PADI dive center in the world.

Your academics

The knowledge part of the course has to be finished with your original instructor before your first day with us. PADI eLearning and the classic book are both fine. There’s nothing new to buy from us for it.

Did the paper book? For the two referral dive options there’s a $60 PADI processing fee, plus tax. No fee with eLearning. Choose that option when you book.

For the confined water session only, we don’t do certification processing for the classic book. You get your skills record, and your certification is finished when you complete your open water dives with a PADI instructor.

Before you come

Referral dives: bring your PADI Referral Form, filled out and signed by your original instructor, and your record of the skills you completed back home.
Confined water: bring any referral paperwork your original instructor gave you.
eLearning: bring your eRecord. A screenshot of the completion page or the email is fine.
Paper book: bring your completed knowledge reviews, plus your exam for the referral dives.
Bring a swimsuit, a towel, sun protection and dry clothes. There are no restrooms right at the site, so make a stop before you arrive.
Arrive 15 minutes early. The meeting point and directions are in your confirmation email.

Without your finished academics and referral paperwork you can’t start, and we’ll have to reschedule.

Referral questions

What paperwork do I need?

For the referral dives: your PADI Referral Form, signed by your original instructor, your skills record, and your eRecord or completed knowledge reviews. For confined water: your eRecord or knowledge reviews, plus any referral paperwork your instructor gave you.

How much does it cost?

All 4 open water dives is from $450, the final 2 dives from $350 and the confined water session from $375, per person, plus tax. If you did the paper book, the referral dives add a $60 PADI processing fee, plus tax. No fee with eLearning.

Do I need to rent gear?

No. All the scuba gear you need is included in all three options.

Where are the dives?

At a protected shore site in San Juan or Vega Alta. The referral dives are all done from shore. You pick the town when you book. The meeting point and directions are in your confirmation email.

Can I do the confined water here and the dives somewhere else?

Yes. You get a record of the confined water skills you completed, so you can finish your open water dives here or at any PADI dive center in the world.

What is the minimum age?

10 years old.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled time for a full refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. You can reschedule once, depending on availability. Read the full policy.
