Regulators and BCDs: follow the interval in your manual (most brands: every 1 or 2 years). Tanks: a visual inspection every year is the industry standard, and U.S. DOT cylinders need a hydrostatic test every 5 years.

Based on DAN’s guidance for flying after no-decompression diving: at least 12 hours after a single dive, at least 18 hours after repeat dives or multiple days of diving. Longer is safer. If you feel unwell after diving, don’t fly: see our emergency page.
