How the course works

  1. PADI eLearning, at home. It’s required, and it’s bought separately from PADI. Buy it through our link so it connects straight to your instructor. If it isn’t done, you can’t start and we’ll have to reschedule.
  2. At the shop, about 3.5 hours. Hands-on CPR, first aid and AED practice with your instructor, on manikins and at skill stations, with an AED trainer.
  3. Scenarios. You put the skills together in practical scenarios, so you can stay calm and give care if it ever happens for real. Once every section is done and your eLearning is verified, we process your certification.

Need it for Rescue Diver?

To do PADI Rescue Diver, you need CPR and first aid training from the past 24 months. EFR covers it. Take it before your Rescue days.

Not a diver?

You don’t need to be. EFR has no water part and no dive gear. It’s for anyone who wants to know what to do in an emergency.

Before you come

  • Finish your eLearning and bring proof that it’s complete. A screenshot of the final completion page or your confirmation email works.
  • Wear comfortable clothes you can kneel in. You’ll be on the floor doing compressions.
  • Bring water and a snack, if you like.
  • Tell us beforehand about any injury or mobility limit.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early at the shop: 16-20 Ave. Aguas Buenas, Urb. Santa Rosa, Bayamón. We start on time so every skill gets done.

Children and observers can’t stay in the classroom during the class.
