Nitrox and air fills in Puerto Rico
PR Dive blends nitrox (28–40%) and fills air at our shop in Bayamón, near San Juan. Nitrox has been a big part of this shop since we opened in 2015, and we’ve built a community of nitrox divers in Puerto Rico around it.

Richer mixes, up to 40%
We can’t blend these on the spot, so give us a few days’ notice. We blend midweek, since most people dive on the weekend, so ask early in the week.
You need a nitrox certification card for any nitrox fill. Not certified yet? The PADI Enriched Air course is eLearning, then about 2 hours at the shop. Do you need nitrox?
Analyze every tank. Every nitrox tank gets analyzed by you before you dive it, the way the course teaches. Our nitrox calculator gives you the maximum depth for your mix.
Oxygen and nitrox blends above 40%: by special request only, for oxygen-clean cylinders and divers with the matching certification. Call us to discuss.

Let us know the day before, although same day is sometimes possible. Diving with us? Request nitrox when you book our shore dives or boat trips.
SCBA, paintball & airsoft
We also fill SCBA cylinders and paintball and airsoft tanks.
Air quality: our air is tested every quarter. The latest certificate is posted in the shop, where you can see it anytime.
Bringing your own tanks
- In-date visual inspection and hydro. Not sure when yours is due? Bring it in and we’ll check it.
- A proper nitrox label for nitrox fills.
- No oxygen cleaning needed up to 40%. We blend continuously, so a recreational tank doesn’t need it.
We look over every cylinder before we fill it. If a tank doesn’t pass, or we’re not comfortable with it, we won’t fill it. That’s for your safety and ours. Why we won’t fill a tank, and how to make sure we can.

Where can I get a nitrox fill in Puerto Rico?
At our shop in Bayamón, near San Juan. We blend 28–40% and usually have 32% ready to go.
Can you fill my tank with nitrox today?
Often, yes. We usually have 32% ready and can usually blend a lower mix the same day. A richer mix needs a few days’ notice. If the shop is closed, nitrox is closed.
Do I need a certification to get nitrox?
Yes. You need to show your nitrox certification card.
Does my tank need oxygen cleaning for nitrox?
Not for mixes up to 40%, because we blend continuously. Your tank does need an in-date visual inspection and hydro, and a proper nitrox label.
Can I rent nitrox tanks?
Yes. Let us know the day before, although same day is sometimes possible.
How long does an air fill take?
