How to Earn your Scuba Diving Certification

Begin by mastering scuba diving principles and terminology through a combination of online and offline resources. Next, practice basic scuba skills in a pool-like setting with the guidance of our highly trained PADI Instructors. When you're ready, take your skills to the open water and complete four exhilarating dives in an ocean environment, with your instructor by your side every step of the way.


PART 1 - INDEPENDENT STUDY

PADI eLearning®

PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question.


eLearning time commitment: 5-10 hours


PART 2 - PRACTICE SESSIONS

With Your Instructor

You will practice using scuba gear in shallow water in a pool-like environment until you're comfortable. Your PADI training includes practice "mini dives" to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.


Practical Time Commitment: 2-3 days

Prerequisites: Able to swim; medically fit for diving
Total time commitment: 4-7 days (Split between Elearning and Practice Days)

Minimum age: 10 years or older
Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft

Location: Dive Sites include Escambron at San Juan, Cerro Gordo at Vega Alta, and Los Tubos at Manati

Price: $550 + 11.5% tax per person

PADI Open Water Diver Referal - Finish Training


If you've already started your scuba diving course back home but want to finish it while in Puerto Rico, we've got you covered. Simply ensure that your instructor back home provides you with the necessary paperwork outlining what you've already completed, and leave the rest to us.

Our experienced instructors will seamlessly integrate you into our program, ensuring that you pick up where you left off and complete your certification with ease.
